Main Skill: Art – Erika is an adept artist. She was taught by her older sister, Enid. Enid was the one to give Erika her first artists kit; watercolours, pencils, brushes and sketchbook. Drawing her emotions has been an outlet for Erika; a way for her to process her trauma.

Secondary Skill: Piano – Felix Waterstone, her father, taught Erika how to play piano from a young age and she is an impressive pianist and songwriter, the skill having been nurtured at Hillside Academy. She performs regularly at various concerts and gigs.

Third Skill: Horse Riding – Show Jumping. Erika is an accomplished horse rider, competing at several shows a year. She owns her own horse via the school – Ivory. She has loved horses all her life and was given the opportunity to learn to ride in September, 2009 when she started at Hillside Academy; her first lesson 9^th September, 2009 in which she is taught by Miss Wren, an Equine teacher at the school. She continues riding and training, choosing Show Jumping as her speciality. She gains ownership of Ivory 7^th September, 2010 when she begins training for competitions and has ridden Ivory ever since.

Main Weakness: Mental Health – Erika suffers from a myriad of mental health conditions all occurring due to the events of life, and no doubt some inherited conditions. She has trauma from everything she’s endured and witnessed. She is a manic-depressant with a personality disorder and a self-harmer. While she doesn’t suffer from anxiety, she does have panic attacks that take the form of dissociating and being triggered by certain events. She isn’t an insomniac but can have insomnia episodes during great times of stress. Her mental health is definitely something that holds her back socially and emotionally, but academically, she has always tried to rise above it.

Secondary Weakness: Maths – Erika isn’t strong at maths, much preferring creative activities or literature or activities that require her to be outdoors. She has a basic understanding of maths that has helped her get as far as she has but it is struggle and she requires extra help.

Third Weakness: Compulsive liar – Erika is a known liar and this stems from her background and the amount of layers she wears. She keeps a lot of her experiences to herself, either because she doesn’t want to burden or upset people with the truth, or because she’s scared of her loved ones changing their opinion of her if they knew the truth, and as a way of self-preservation and controlling the image of herself. Finally, it’s denial. She would rather pretend none of it didn’t happen.
