Main Skill: Music – Guitar. Taught by his father and his skills further adapted through self-training. Plays both acoustic and electric. Can also play a 12-string and a ukulele.

Music – Piano. Taught by the music teachers at Hillside Academy. He’s a strong pianist, which helps him write his own music but prefers guitar.
Third Skill: Horse Riding – Cross Country. Taught by the equine teachers at Hillside Academy. Competes on his horse, Ebony, who he has owned since 8th September, 2009. Dominic didn’t have any experience cross country riding before he came to Hillside Academy but had ridden a horse numerous times, the first being August 1999 with his father on holiday to Weymouth, Dorset. He has his first riding lesson at Hillside Academy on Odysseus, a bay gelding, 2nd April, 2008.
Main Weakness: Insomnia. Diagnosed in December 2010, Dominic started suffering from insomnia in early 2006. This condition reappears whenever Dominic is stressed and while he was given sleep-aid tablets when he was first diagnosed and they are on his repeated prescription, he doesn’t like them as they make him feel dopey. He smokes weed to help him sleep instead. He has a habit of taking Modafinil, a stimulant, as well as caffeine pills, to sometimes keep him awake when is stressed and suffering from insomnia as he isn’t sleeping but needs to be awake during the day. He usually collapses from exhaustion eventually, which has led to incidences of narcoleptic-type events.
Secondary Weakness: Maths – Dominic has undiagnosed dyscalculia which means he struggles with numbers and therefore maths. He can’t do mental arithmetic which leaves him lagging behind in class. Over the years, he’s developed a loathing for the subject and academically he is just seen as bad at it. Given the time, he is capable but very weak.
Third Weakness: Sciences – Asides from equine science – the study of the equine anatomy – Dominic doesn’t like science. Much like maths, he finds it boring – especially physics which involves a lot of maths.
